Hi and Welcome!
My name is Alessandra, and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), thanks for being here. I know how difficult it can be to take this first step in starting your journey because I was once there too, and because of this, I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment that allows my clients to feel comfortable and supported.
I truly believe that therapy is a collaborative process, and therefore, I take an integrative approach which is grounded in a person-centered and strengths-based framework. What does this mean for you? In our work together, you will be the guide, and I will be there to walk alongside you and support you in your journey to meet your goals and better your overall wellbeing.
As we work together in the therapy room, I hope that we are not only able to help you better understand your symptoms and concerns but also build a toolkit of strengths and skills for you to draw on in your day-to-day life. You may see me utilize components of Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) as well as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness strategies to aid in our work together, as well as some art therapy techniques. If you are ready to embark on your own therapeutic journey, I would be happy to help you in taking that first step.
